This is from twopeasandtheirpod....you can vary it up. Often I just buy the cut up veggie pack at the supermercado here and then build from that. They don't really have canned beans here in Peru except for black ones, so sometimes I just use black beans. The other day I made this with tiny little pasta and it turned out to be alphabet letters! I shared this with our neighbors the Fenns. I never put as much liquid as they ask for - I like my soups more hearty.
