We've had Alexane staying here for the month of August. She made us some yummy quiche before we left on our vacation, and the other day she made us this. Here is how she did it:
You start out by buttering bread. I bought an artisan white bread (nothing all that special).
You had a piece of ham to each piece of bread. Sprinkle cheese on top of the ham (we used sharp cheddar that was grated).
Add the top piece of bread and sprinkle more cheese on the top.
Bake in the oven until golden brown.
Viola!
Alex's mom made these for me when I visited in France. I love them!
