Baby Quilt

For this project you need:

1/8 of a yard of ten different types of fabric

1 1/4 yard for the back of the quilt

batting for the inside

You cut the 1/8 of a yard pieces in half lengthwise (you don't have to cut them in half but then the strips won't be equal length which is fine too). Then you place them all in the order that you want the front of the quilt to look like.

Next you lay the fabric you bought for the back of the quilt face down on the table and put the bating on top of it. Take the first strip and place it top side up on the edge of the batting and then take the next strip and lay it right sides together over the other strip. Then you just sew all the way down on the end of the fabric. You do this for the whole quilt that way you don't have to tie it at all when you are done.
